Starless Nights

The Girl:

Another starless night,

Gazing into the unknown.

Once again I feel

That my life is far out of reach.

What controls me?

What is guiding me?

An invisible rope

Slowly choking my strength

To carry on…

Am I too young,

To say I want love.

After being broken,

I want someone who will carry me on.

I need to fly

Out of the branded,

And into a new world,

Eager to accept

Another adventure…

I won’t be told

Love is too old for me.

I want to live

I want break away out of my shell.

I need to find

The way which I can follow

Out of the past

Into the present and passing age.

The Old Man:

‘Tis my duty,

‘Tis my right,

To send you on your wish,

Following the stars

Seeking the fantasy.

You don’t see them,

But they’re always there.

Guiding us all

Through hell,

And they always pull through.

Trust me,

I cross the stars,

I form the sky.

I let my life

Be this way.

The Girl:

I’ve been drowning

In my despair.

Ought I trust a stranger?

Do you hold a truth at all?

The Old Man:

I know a land

In great anguish.

Wanting

And craving

A hope to arrive.

On your way,

I will have your wish

Brought about

I’ll sought out

The righteous heart

For you.

The Girl:

I want to break away.

However it happens,

I want to run away.

I need to run.

Staying here I feel

So much pain in me.

Everyone is against

Not one is for me…

I am lost in the land I know…

The Old Man:

Get ahead of it.

Go and break the silence.

Follow my word,

Run away,

Watch high,

For the stars will direct.

To the land of despair,

Find the man that is there.

I have sent him there,

Together save the day.

Take whoever comes,

Take whoever wills.

Always look high,

For the stars will direct.

The Girl:

The stars will shine.

The starless nights

Will never appear again!

Let the light fall,

Illuminate my path

No starless nights!

I won’t be told

Love is too old for me.

I want to live

I want break away out of my shell.

I need to find

The way which I can follow

Out of the past

Into the present and passing age.

I feel trapped in here,

Displaced and abandoned.

I must be free,

I want to be able to live.

The Old Man:

For the bursting heart,

Many await.

But must let out,

Or keep it in.

Dare you risk heartbreak?

The Girl:

I don’t care what happens to me.

If I have a chance

To be who I am,

I will reclaim my soul,

For what I know.

The Old Man:

Go North, with haste I plea

To old stone arc,

By the great oak tree.

Dare not go alone,

Brings friends along,

And hear the call

Of the voice of afar.

At the arc,

The desired awaits.

Your dream will come,

Should you not see,

In time you will.

I read the stars,

And I create their paths.

Fast, speed off my child!

Stand no more,

Talk no more.

Run far, run wide!

Take the road you have,

Do not dismiss your trail.

Both:

No need to dream

Or to wish,

My life lies ahead!

Claim what I desire…

What I want!

The Girl:

Running down the streets,

Out all of the doors,

I don’t stop to say goodbye…

Outside, I see fields,

Full of life, full of promise.

I leave the world of broken dreams behind…

I leave the world into the promised land…

I won’t be told

Love is too old for me.

I want to live

I want break away out of my shell.

I need to find

The way which I can follow

Out of the past

Into the present and passing age.

I won’t be passed by

Anymore.

Off on my way,

Nowadays.

If love is what I seek,

I’ll find what I’m searching.

Today, tomorrow, the next day…

I will find my way.

The End
