Alone

The sun sets on the water,
The lake in the mountains.
The sky is lit with oranges,
Reds,
And yellows.
It’s perfect,
Except for one thing.
The water laps,
Gently on the shore,
Birds sing in the trees,
The most beautiful symphony ever,
Except for one thing.
The trees dance in the breeze,
Spreading their fresh pine scent,
It mingles with the sweetness flowers,
The most calming smell,
Except for one thing.
I feel the breeze on my face,
The lush grass underfoot,
I can feel the earth,
That slow, steady consciousness,
The most amazing feeling I know,
Except for one thing.
I have no one to share it with.

The End
