Fireflies

Tonight I'll lie
Beneath the sky,
To watch them wink and twinkle by.

A glitter of flight,
A flitter of lights,
Reflecting in my eyes.

Flutter, shimmer,
Mutter, glimmer
 —
A guttering blizzard sparks.

A million zillion fireflies,
Banishing the dark.

The End
