A Certain inevitability, don't you think
And I believe our species knows
to acknowledge the wanton destruction
and quietly the suspicion grows

It's the lassitude more than anything else
naivety that no harm could ever befall
to leave the decisions to others
when the responsibility belongs to all

So then to faith it comes down to
and on whom to place our trust
What can we do to prevent
this paradise turning into dust

The End
