In The Rain

There is something to be said

for the cozy way a red

umbrella on a table looks

in the rain.

Little jeweled drops hug all the rails

and leave sparkling tiny trails

on the rungs of all the chairs

in the rain.

The sky's a sort of grey

so it's a calming kind of day;

it slows your pace and makes you breathe

in the rain.

The End
