Imprisoned

This is about imprisonment in your own mind, not physical imprisonment

Stifling in suffocation

Crashing deeper and down

Staring through the glass film

Try desperately to be free

Can’t give up the angst that

Keeps you locked there

Trapped, self spiralling hate

That cuts and bleeds beneath the surface

Wanting to be seen

Remaining forever hidden

On the edges of your own nightmares

Sunshine’s and laughter

Envelope the mirrored glass

That will forever be the

Casket of a broken heart

Cannot find your own

Among the worlds thousands

Of pieces of broken hearts.

The End
