Imperfect

So this is a sample of the album I'm working on. I've had to put production on pause due to financial issues, but this has been salvaged from the initial recordings. This is one of best friends, Kate Olson, singing part of a song I wrote for my band's album.

Imperfect, from the album, Imperfect by Paul Macklin 2014 ©

Crossing cobbled streets beneath that lurching bulb of moon
a blitz of moths in star shine's dance, a beat of hearts in jigsaw parts;
days like this make this love hard, today.

Burning bonfires on the beach beside the Solent shore,
a twist of dark in victory dance, a masquerade without a mask;
days like this make this love hard, today.

I need very little nowadays,
I need very little nowadays,
but I know I need you,
yes I need you.

Imperfect,
imperfect little world.
Imperfect,
cultured and cruel.
Murdered.
Imperfect.

The End
