I'm Only Hanging Around

It's about being stuck in a rut and wanting to run away

I walk out to face the day

The skies and the sprawling city

Another plan lost in the blaze

Where's my luck when love fades

I'm knocked down, picking the wrong fights

I'm losing the day, I'm just dazed

Trying to make a difference

To make myself a better man

But I'd rather drain away the remainder

And let myself become victim to her plans

I'm only existing

I'm only hanging around

I'm looking for the right price

I'm looking for a way outta this town

I'm dressed and I'm wondering

Why this city never seems to smile

Maybe it's just a mirror image

I'm climbing but no higher

I dreamed so many times

But dreams just get burned in the fire

Here I go again, losing again

I can't escape being let down

I thought it'd all be for the best

But here I am, down and drunk

It seems life is only a test

I'm only existing

I'm only hanging around

I'm looking for the right price

I'm looking for a way outta this town

The End
