If Only

If only I was able to

Eat on plastic plates

Maybe reunite with my classmates

Walk to the grocery store around the corner

Just be a tourist or a foreigner

Even drive my own car,

Or drink beer in the darkest bar

If only I could be me,

At least across the sea,

Without a red carpet on a floor of rose

Without cameras under my nose

Then my last name would not be Obama

And I would not have to live in a drama.

The End
