If I sailed around the world

If I sailed around this world so wide
It would surely be a bumpy ride;
But I swear I could never leave port
If I did not have you by my side.

We would visit tropical resorts,
Drop in to see all the royal courts;
We would be front page news at each stop -
It'd seem so dull without your support

We would fill our bags at boutique shops,
I would buy you the prettiest tops;
And just when home seemed within our reach...
Up goes the anchor as the sail drops

We'd sail to China to eat a peach,
Then to Italy to learn their speech;
And ere we're carried home by the tide
I'd marry you on an empty beach.

The End
