If I could unwrite

If I could unwrite what was written

I'd righten the writ that was wrong

and request that the jury unlisten

to what I had said all along

If I could unwrite what was written

I'd go from village to town

making their libraries glisten

unwriting - top to down

the kids will say

"wait now! hey!

you've taken all our fun"

and I, so sly,

a private eye,

will undo what was done

and in the end

my faithful pen

who unwrote all for me

will feel the pain,

repent in vain ,

and drift into the sea

The End
