If I could write

If I could write

I’d take my slate

And chalk a tale

Of love and hate

If I could write

A text I’d tap

C U l8r

No word-wrap

If I could write

I’d scrawl a note

Some hasty jottings

You could quote

If I could write

I’d draft a novel

Of life with you

Within our hovel

If I could write

An epic I’d pen

Telling a tale

Of now, and then

If I could write

A trilogy

For that there’s no

Apology

If I could write...

a ten-book series

Full of  wonderful

Facts and theories

I’d spray grafitti

on a wall

Vibrant letters

Three feet tall

If I could write

I’d write a prayer

To keep on writing

Anywhere.

The End
