If I could just find the door.

"Help! Help! I'm trapped in here!"

I'm trapped inside this cage of fear.

I search and search all through the night,

For the door that flees my sight.

I follow endless, seamless walls,

While I scream my frightened calls,

Is there no one walking by,

To hear my panicked, lonely cry.

In the dark, a tiger prowls,

A preying, breathing wolf, it howls.

Snakes and spiders everywhere,

Why no answer to my prayer?

A crack of light, a breath of air,

A sign of life somewhere out there.

In horror I search some more,

For that always hidden door.

The End
