The Wrong Gear in The Damned Car of Life

Oh, how I wish to watch my pen,

As it flits across the page,

Making words, such pretty words

Appear with ease.

But for those words,

You need emotion

Which is something that I lack,

So my thoughts,

My jittery thoughts,

Fall to their knees.

For my letters don't form words,

And these words do not form phrases,

And these phrases would seem to make

No sense at all.

Then you believe

That silly I

Oh sweet, crazy I

Drive myself backwards

And not frowards

Up the wall.

The End
