The Silence of Sound

They say that if a tree falls in the woods,

and no one is around,

it makes no sound.

Does that mean,

When someone cries,

and no one is around,

it also makes no sound?

What about rain,

pitter pattering on the steel roof,

of an empty house,

does it still ring through the house?

Or a dog

barking in an empty house

does his bark,

ring through the empty halls, echoing?

So then,

When a snow flake falls,

in an field full of people,

does it crash like thunder to the ground?

The End
