I Walked Away.

She should feel lucky for having you because you are all I've ever wanted.

Green twinkles in your eyes

accented vermilion streaks of sunset.

Golden locks of your hair

clashed the sky clicking to black.

You should have felt the speed of my heart

beating underneath that gray shirt

instead of looking through the transparency

of nothingness on my face.

Flowers on pavements browned tea-like

by your shadow at which I discreetly gaze.

My head resembled the sky after 8,

dark, with hope like a tiny shooting star.

I wanted you but I couldn’t put desire into words.

So I stepped back and watched your face.

Blushed crimson at the sight of her face

accented by blue twinkles in her eyes.

I walked away.

The End
