I Thought

I thought my family was good, that they weren't that pettie. I thought they would help, because they were her family too. I thought we were above this. I thought wrong.

I thought family was the most important thing there is.

I thought the old were respected by their children.

I thought they would do everything they could, even if some of them were old too.

I thought they had learned.

I thought they would respect her wishes.

I thought they would do what was best for her at their expense.

I thought they would stay with her.

I thought they would wait for her will.

I thought wrong.

Shouldn't the closer the relation, the more you care?

Then why did I think wrong?

The End
