I Shall Lose Everything

In the space of so little time

We faded from lovers to non-existence

Barriers of time and contempt form a resistance

And suddenly I’m short of words to say

These butterflies have destroyed themselves in sorrow

And I can give them no hope or cause to endure

Love today turns to loathing tomorrow

A small consequence renders my soul impure

And everything I have done wrong

Will choke me before I ascend

And everyone I sent to ruin

Will destroy me in the end

The echoes of love left to fade

My darkest sentiments dance inside me

We will never dance together or be the same

Yet again I’m short of words to say

Everything I have known rendered null in sorrow

And I have no words, on a banner to battle and fight

I threw everything away in a moment of horror

I shall lose everything that I love tonight

And everything I have done wrong

Will choke me before I ascend

And everyone I sent to ruin

Will destroy me in the end

The End
