I See You (More Than You See Yourself)

The ultimate cliche poem; trying to convince a sad person that they are amazing.
I literally wrote this in two minutes, spur of the moment. It's basically for my cousin.

I've seen the light lurking in your eyes;
I've seen it fall away.
I've seen you smile so hard it hurts;
I've seen you cry for days.

I've seen your natural beauty at work;
I've seen your battle arm.
I've seen you cry for others' misfortune;
I've seen you let Death disarm.

I've seen you love and live and laugh;
I've seen you break the stars.
But what I don't quite get - or understand -
is why you don't know how amazing you are.

The End
