I Love You.

Those three words I long to hear,

Those three words whispered in my ear.

The sweetest sound since the dawn of time,

You should say it again, it sounds sublime.

I want to hear those words once more,

But now your lying on the floor.

Your body is so lifeless and cold,

I'm going to admit it, I'm going to be bold.

I smacked you dead with a plank of wood,

That showed you well, that showed you good.

But do you want to know why?

Because you made me sob and cry.

You wouldn't ease me with your voice,

So lovely and tender, but did I have a choice?

I asked you nicely,

I asked you politely.

I lost my patience with you,

I didn't know what to do.

You would not say it to me,

But could you not see?

I was dying to hear that simple phrase,

But when I couldn't hear it, I was filled with rage.

As much as I really did care for you,

What the heck was I supposed to do?

Our relationship was going no where,

So I thought I'd give you a little scare.

'A smack to the head wont do no harm!',

Is what I thought as I looked at you, filled with smarm.

You were going to break up with me weren't you?

So what was I supposed to do?

Well now you wont get the chance to,

Because you wouldn't say 'I love you'.

The End
