Seams

The touch of your hand
The smile in your eyes
The way you make stupid things sound so wise
The grin on your lips
The laugh on your face
The way you make everything fall into place

It's perfect
That's what they call it
When you get everything you wanted
We're perfect
That's what I've called it
Until we fall apart it seems
And now we're breaking at the seams

The touch of your hand
The smile in your eyes
Fills me with thoughts of fiction and of lies
The grin on your lips
The laugh on your face
Making me feel like I'm out of place

Perfect
That's what they call it
When you get everything you wanted
We're not perfect
Not what I'd call it
I don't think that this is what I wanted
And now we're breaking apart at the seams

I get lost in your eyes
When you hypnotise
Then I wonder how much of what you say is just lies
And if I talk I see
Don't always listen to me
Is this where you want to be?
Is this really where I want to be?

It's not perfect
And you know it
When we don't get anything we wanted
Even on the surface
Not perfect

Because we fight it's not what you deserve
And I don't give you nearly enough
And complaining when it's getting tough
Maybe I should just give up

It seems that
We're breaking apart at the seams..

The End
