I hear your whispers

as I pass.

"That's so Jew"

"Shut up!"


"She's a Jew!"

I hear your jokes

that you say, not knowing

that I'm here.

That I'm a Jew.

You don't know.

You don't mean to hurt.

But you don't think.

And you should.

Because, mistake or not

it does hurt.

All the way down, deep down,

it hurts.

And I hear everything.
