I Hate My Love

This poem is an example of irony. I think it shows a lot of hatred, then ends with something very surprising.

I gave you the key to my heart, and you threw it out

I gave you everything I had, and you gave me a pout

I gave you my whole life, and all you did was shout

I spent everything on you, you throw my gifts away

And you cannot give me the time of day

And every other week, you say I cannot stay

Do you really love me, or my money

Do you want the guy that I try to be

Cause you drive me insane, can't you see!?

...

But I thank the lord everyday, that you decide to stay with me.

The End
