I found beauty in a bottle cap
I found beauty in a bottle cap
Just a little to the side of the blue water
And I didn’t silence it
But it tried to silence me
If I were dreaming
There’d be two of you
One to smile
One to trip and fall
And you’d be reflected
In a polished rock
Until all that stone became flesh
And you walked away again
And back again
To wonder at my bottle cap
And rub your hairy arm
Up against my boney wrist
I left beauty in a bottle cap
Just a little to the side of the green grass
And I didn’t silence it
And no one can silence me
