I Don't Know

I don't want to know what I've found

     And if I don't know, it can't bring me down.

If all I've found is lost and reckless

     then wanting you is seemingly hopeless.

     I don't know.

Listen closely,

     but don't hear a word I say.

Hear my heartbeat, muffled

     by the pouring rain.

     And it's beating so loud.

Listen to these words

     I have found.

Even though I can't speak them aloud.

     I hear them.

     All in one.

I can't say where they're coming from;

     I don't know.

The End
