Hush Child

Hush

Your eyes now Child

For you are

F
A
L
L
I
N
G

Into the depths

Of a Dream.

Steel the hollow nightmares

That steal your

Morning breath,

And murmur an everlasting

S
I
G
H

Of contentment as

The monsters pass you

By.

And in the morning of hollow lands

Cries the voice of mourning

To remind your mind

Of what can be blessed

In the slumbers that keep you

D
E
E
P

On this soil that we have

Soiled, on this land that

Knows how to weep.

A lullaby for strangers

Walking amongst counting sheep,

A shepherd standing by the bed

Of a boy lost in sleep.

Hush your eyes

Now Child,

For you

Are

F
A
L
L
I
N
G

Into the

Depths

Of a

Dream.

The End
