Alone and Afraid

The timing is just too perfect
Why, Lord, do I deserve this?
I feel so alone
Everyone seems to be turning away

The one rock I had,
The one I just recently recovered
Is being tossed out to sea
With such a slim chance of rediscovery

I don't mean to whine,
But pain distorts my voice
I don't mean to beg,
But desperation distorts my thoughts

I am truly afraid
So many thoughts fly through my thoughts
None good, none happy
All utterly frightening possibilities

The timing is just too perfect
Why, Lord, do I deserve this?
I feel so alone
Everyone seems to be turning away

The End
