love poem

As we talked my bangles clacked accross the table

You slipped them from my wrist and I let you

I watched you push them to the center of the table beside our coffee rings

and then all that was left to say was so...

I wanted to blurt out something random

Something about how I always press caps lock

Silence stretches accross the table

Has us both fidgetting with my bangles

Both us screaming just take my hand

But we cant

I dont know why but we just cant

If our hands touch, they touch

but we just cant seem to just clasp them

Or entwine them together.

That would mean something.

Something we both wont say.

The End
