Higher Than My Heart
Awakening to your smile, how your eyes sparkled
I felt nothing more than an infinite bliss
The misery in the deep of my heart
How easily the pain inside could start
The dust of hope guided me homeward bound
I found you there, standing in the doorway
More beautiful than anything in life
How glad I was to be alive
For the first time adoration flowed naturally in my hands
I felt I was flying higher than I could ever hope to stand
The legacy of your love, the embodiment of my regrets
But love brings us hope, that the chance hasn't passed us yet
I fell further down in darkness
But I knew you loved me too
The misery to claw at my brittle heart
How easily now the pain can start
For the first time adoration flowed naturally in my hands
I felt I was flying higher than I could ever hope to stand
The legacy of your love, the embodiment of my regrets
But you were my hope, that my life isn't over yet
