High Tides

Stand up like you’ve never been knocked down

Hold your ground like you’ve never been pushed around

Smile like you can’t frown

Get your best experience on the worst side of town

We’re too bright for this dark ignorance

We’re too clever to be labeled with brilliance

Let’s go back to being babies

And pick up the building blocks we once knocked down

From here to the other side of town

I hear silent sounds

I hear loud silence

I hear peaceful violence

I see angelic tyrants

Look at these verses and take a hint

This is how I vent

It’s a cold world out there

Make sure you leave the house with a warm coat of pride

Take the messages from your inbox

And shove them in your Archive

Come out, and hide

I hope you can surf

Cause’ you’re about to experience some high tides

The End
