Hide and Seek

Recommend

Not knowing everybody's name.
"C'mon children, let's go play a game."
A deceiving nursery rhyme,
Made the children forget to check the time.

But they were so happy to play together
So why not have them play forever?
They were smiling, under the moonlight
They never said "Good night."

Hide and seek, count to ten
There's no such thing as going too far
Hide and seek, count to ten
Come out, come out wherever you are.
Don't wait for someone to say
"Children, that's enough for today."
Hide and seek, try again
Come out from where you're hiding.

Small footprints cover the entire home,
The children shouldn't be left alone.
Before they can leave through the front door,
They'll find more rooms to explore.

A house full of locked doors and dark rooms,
These children are forever trapped in their own tombs.
They were crying and wondering why
They would never say "Goodbye"

Hide and seek, count to ten
No use in hiding, so come out
Hide and seek, count to ten
There's no neighbors to hear you cry and shout.
It's impossible to leave this place
The doors and windows are locked just in case
Hide and seek, try again
Come out from where you're hiding.

The afternoon sky is now a dyed deep red
Just like the blankets sprawled across their beds.
But the children's laughter is still loud and clear.
It's as if they're still here...

Hide and seek, count to ten
Go ahead, and try to scream
Hide and seek, count to ten
You can't wake up, it's not a dream
Before the night is gone,
Be deceived by a children's song
Hide and seek, try again
Come out from where you're hiding.
