Her Mistake

Her mistake was falling for another
Her mistake was treating me like no other
Her mistake was thinking that I was just a lover
Her mistake was not knowing I wanted her

So we keep the pleasant mood alive
but my self-doubt finds a way to survive

Her mistake was leaving me to hope
Her mistake was believing I would cope
Her mistake was wanting to elope
Her mistake was not knowing the pain I went through

So we keep the pleasant mood alive
but my self-doubt finds a way to survive
I’ll wait for eternity, for that special Saturday
Still I am frightened that you’ll walk away

From me

Her mistake was falling for another
Her mistake was treating me like no other
Her mistake left me depressed and alone
Her mistake will be my mistake
I’ll take that responsibility

The End
