Her Dreams of an Impossibility

She'd dream,

Of a better day,

When she wouldn't have to hide,

To keep her secret to herself.

She'd dream,

Of a better time,

When love and life would combine,

To give her true purpose.

She'd wonder,

If she'd ever see,

Past the haze,

That kept her behind.

Maybe then,

She'd find herself again,

Maybe then,

She'd say,

"This is who I am."

The End
