Hello to Spring

April, and all at once daisies; breathless and dizzy,
they whisper a thousand tiny "hello"s to the sky,

and the wind hushes the frightened clouds
and the trees wave back with pink fingers.

Spring folds them into her gentle arms,
a wreath of newborn smiles.

She kisses my eyes into wonder.
"hello," my lashes gasp, "hello!"

The End
