Heights

One faltering step forward,

Looking over the edge of this cliff,

Heights.

They scare me stiff.

Taking three steps back,

I breathe in deep,

Heights.

The reason I lose sleep.

Turn my face towards the sky,

Magnificent blue,

Heights.

They remind me of you.

In your arms I know you'll never let me slip,

I could dance on the edge and never trip,

Heights.

The caress of your lips.

A running jump and I am free,

Diving into uncertainty,

Heights.

Bringing you to me.

The End
