Haunting Memories

Recommend

Rain tapping on the window,

Shadows lurking

Behind the trees,

Ghosts of past memories

Haunting

Remembering the cries of pain

that were once called,

The tears

That once flowed freely.

A funeral

For the lost,

Flowers on a grave

For the missing one.

You cry out in anguish;

Then, all of a sudden

The rain stops.

Author guidance for This poem

LouisaJo These poems portray some of the situations that occur in life that we cannot stop.

These things can be extremely sad, and we can wait in sorrow until the time passes. These poems are the feelings and thoughts about those times.

They are written in first person, third person, and sometimes even second person.

***Remember, some punctuation is missing on purpose, to help make the story flow. I am completely open to suggestions on this as I am not very good at this yet! :)
