Hate Me

Is there anything I can say
that won’t return to haunt me
I’m afraid that I’ll be frustrated
with having everything I ever wanted

Wanderlust is such a bastard disease
I’m too late to make any decision
Will my own thoughts concede
that I am to weary for this solemn day

Do what you want
Despise what you feel
Just don’t
Hate me
Hate me

I don’t want to be anything less
than who I am now
I can’t choose to change
if I am unsure of what it will bring

It’s been a while since I felt this tired
a thousand year rest would suit me well
But nothing ever comprehends
clip my wings and let me spiral into the dirt

The End
