A poem for my daughter

From the day I found out it was a girl
I knew this little bundle of joy would change my whole world
I didn't realize just how much
Until I held you in my arms and felt a mother's love
I've watched you grow and learn
I gasped every year you've turned
A little baby to a little girl to a little lady, time has flown by so fast it seems
To me you will always be my little princess even though now you are considered a teen
I can't believe how much you have taught me through the years
So today

From the day I found out it was a girl
I knew this little bundle of joy would change my whole world
I didn’t realize just how much
Until I held you in my arms and felt a mother’s love
I’ve watched you grow and learn
I gasped every year you’ve turned
A little baby to a little girl to a little lady, time has flown by so fast it seems
To me you will always be my little princess even though now you are considered a teen
I can’t believe how much you have taught me through the years
So today don’t worry about my tears
They are happy and they are sad
I miss my baby girl I once had
But will cherish every moment Raising this beautiful, sweet and smart young woman!
Happy Birthday to my little girl
I will always celebrate the day you changed my world

The End
