Hallelujah (The Angel Child)

Recommend

She stands alone

Before His throne

Waiting to do his bidding

She thinks of the day

The day she was born

Among fey aflitting

Rocking in the cradle

Among roses and thorn

In a meadow of milk and honey

A tiny child

Sweet and mild

Without a care in the world

White feathery wings unfurl

Deep blue eyes shine

White hair, loosely curled

Angels singing softly

Flying high and lofty

Joyful dancing and twirling

Jangling beads of silver, sterling

All God's people in Heaven, singing

Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah.....

Author guidance for This poem

VictoriaGlass I've found that I have developed a sudden fascination with angels....

So, I dug through my old poems and found this.

Enjoy!
