Listening to Handel's messiah in church
this is how I imagine heaven to be
the chorus ever so uplifting
it resonates with one spiritually

If only I could go back in time
to Dublin, in the spring of 1742
to hear the master play this music
and to personally offer my gratitude

The master would indeed be saddened
that there is no longer peace on earth
for years we have killed each other
and life hath no real worth

And perhaps another eon from now
his music would perhaps even fade
instead to the symphony of bigger guns
would win many accolades

The End
