Hades River

Life has faded from your once-bright eyes,

You try to run away, but you can't, you just can't,

Something like a blue flame appears in the midst,

Offers a hand - you take it.

Down, down, down, you plummet

Through hottest magma and coolest ice,

Through all that has been and is yet to be,

Then you see a pale blue pool,

Sparkling, shimmering,

It seemed pretty until you get closer,

Frail figures floated just below the surface,

Cold, weak bodies with searching eyes

This was a mistake,

But before you have time to do anything about it,

In you sink.

Your skin turns blue, your eyes become deader, you become colder.

The End
