Gone

Day breaks out over the spring earth,

Flowers grow from their rebirth,

The world spins and we spin with it,

Yet you're the one stood still.

The sun rises over fields of green,

Colours brighter than others I've seen,

Years go by and we age with time,

Yet you're unchanged and young.

The sky darkens over golden leaves,

As they start to drop off the trees,

People change and memories fade,

Yet you still stay the same.

Night falls over frosted snow,

One more year to come and go,

Goodbyes happen as we move forth,

Yet you got left behind.

The End
