O Say...CAN You See?!

O Say...CAN You See?!

This song can be sung to the tune of Francis Scott Key's "O Say, Can You See."

O say, can you see, as you look at the flag
All the money we are so convinced that we don't have
As we pour out our lives into the endless chase
Of wanting new things, needing a bigger place
And the cries of the poor, as the rich ones want more
To fill bank accounts and empty the stores
O say, how the star-spangled banner yet waves
O'er the land of the free, and the home of the brave!

O say, can you see, the homeless on streets
As we buy Gucci shoes for our pedicured feet
As we toss out a dime to impoverished hands
That only can sully our excellent land
And the broken, abused! The trafficked and used!
Who hopelessly toil as we book our new cruise
O say, how the star-spangled banner yet waves
O'er the land filled with greed, and the home of the enslaved!

The End
