Glitter Lies
She calls me glitter, because I shine.
Because she can't wash me off.
She blinks and I am in her eyes,
turning her vision to stars.
She breathes and I am in her heart,
shining like a sparkler.
She sees glitter in my smile,
glitter in my scent,
glitter in the words,
I never really meant.
She thinks she is covered in beauty,
but what she doesn't know
is that I'm made of lies,
and this is my disguise.
Dressed in a million shards of glass,
a million tiny daggers,
that will rip her all apart.
She blinks and I am in her eyes,
blinding all the lights.
She breathes and I am in her heart,
stabbing out her life.
She sees glitter in my smile,
glitter in my scent,
glitter in the letters,
I never sent.
She calls me glitter, because she loves me.
Love is what ever you believe it to be.
