What Is Peace?
We look at children and think...
"They are not like me for I am much bigger and more mature than them
Like a great lion
They are small and stupid and disrespectful
Like a lesser hyena!"
Is this true though?
NO!
NADA!
GOOSE EGGS!
EMPATHY!
ACCEPTANCE!
EQUALITY!
We say we are good people
That we live by these words every day
But do we???
We look at animals and think...
"Aw! It's so cute!"
Then we kill his or her relative
Our relative
With sounds of anger and chaos the world cries...
BANG!!!
BOOM!!!
AHHHHHHHH!!!
Peace is not just refusing to declare war
Peace is to not patronize and be conceited
We can't hurt the lily pad or the fly or the child with cerebral palsy
Hurt is not just punching someone
It's our thoughts that hurt
They lead to our actions
