Ghosts Knock Sweetly

A knock on the door

That none dare visit

A knock on the door

Of this wretched soul

Begs the bastard loathing

Come now and visit

Begs the fool loathing

Come open the door

The ghost comes with tidings

And promising words

A ghost brings its horrors

As a knock on the door

A ghost yet so charming

How shall I ignore

A ghost yet so lovely

To knock on my door

So I'll let in a ghost

And hope it won't haunt me

I'll let in a ghost

And hope it won't harm me

I'll let in a ghost

I know she must haunt me

I'll let in a ghost

I'll let her consume me

The End
