From Faded

Recommend

Take this gift and open the door with my name,
The shameless never feel what the nameless always crave,
And day-by-day, the hearts remain the same,
Believing in duty, fire, fury and blame,
So she steals me away to the place that we became,
Because today is just a day, and love has no name.

Author guidance for This poem

PaulMacklin This is as much a rhythmic exploration for me as it is a short poem about the loss of love. Love is one of those dearest moments of our lives... (I say moments, for when it feels real, it is just moments of our entirety.) and it can be lost so quickly, snatched away, often for biting the hand that feeds. Tell all here, let it go, let it really come out of you. Don't write something you could do any day of the year, write something that makes you burn, write something new, write something that is a risk for you. Burn away.
