Freedom is not given

Freedom is not earned

It is forced unwillingly upon those

Who have known it's opposite

It is lashed into your  skin, by the whip

It has chained you unfairly, by the cuff

It is injected into you forcefully, by the needle

Choked and beaten you, by the hand

Until you break, like the mirror

You could not force yourself to look into anymore

Smashed and shattered

Splintered and strewn

Until you have the courage

To rebuild it, to mend it

Piece by piece

Until you bleed for it, hurt for it

So that it is whole again

Until you look at it, and stare in it's eye

And see the person who made it happen

The End
