The Losing Game

Recommend

I'm falling again
Forgive me, darling
I'm not strong enough to hold my own
Against myself

Beside myself
Ahead of myself
Ask Alice, she'll know what this means

I'm lost
Did you know that?
And somehow, every time you find me
I feel like I''m fading, slipping through your fingers
Blurring into the dark

I had no beginning
But I feel like the End
Falling back on razors
Shortcuts
(But I'm still Lost and Losing, don't you remember?
And those sort of cuts never helped a soul)

How did I get so twisted
Confused
Safe and guilty in your eyes

Cover me
Make me forget
Lose me in your eyes
Lose me in your heart, your arms
Lose me in your mind

Because I think I might be losing mine

The End

LoneWriter This is a series of poems I started in July 2010. I usually only write poetry when I'm trying to work through some sort of extreme emotion. Hopefully you'll enjoy them.
