Forbidden Fruit

I saw the pink moon looming in the distance
when I passed dead roses on the cold earth
This whole world is nothing more than a grave
shoot out the sun so I can enjoy the shade

Everything I ever wanted is forbidden fruit
it tastes so sweet yet it decays at the touch
I wish you had never left me to wonder
about those little thoughts I obsess

Crucified by the dull emptiness of the morning sun
I want to be weak, like an apple slowly rotting
Fragments torn and twisted contain what once
made me joyous to ever be alive

The End
